Air conditioning

The accommodation has air conditioning in all bedrooms as well as in the living room.

 

Barbecue

The accommodation has a gas barbecue for outdoor use. 

Bed linen & towels

Beds are made up with fresh linen and clean towels are provided. There are also towels for the pool.

 

Cancellation

8 weeks or more before the arrival date, a booking can be cancelled with no penalty. Down payments made will be refunded. Between 4 and 8 weeks before the arrival date, 50% of the rental fee is payable on cancellation. If the booking is cancelled 4 weeks or less before arrival, the full rental fee is due.

Charges

All rates include regular cleaning during the stay, end-of-stay cleaning, internet (WLAN), bed linen, towels, electricity, water, and air conditioning.

Check-in

Check-in is between 15:00 and 20:00. A check-in after 20:00 is possible via key safe. Please note that generally it is not possible to check-in earlier than the indicated time. Depending on availability, an early check-in can be booked for a fee at short notice. It is not possible to store luggage at the accommodation before check-in.

Check-out

Check out is before 10:00 on the day of departure. Depending on availability, a late check-out can be booked for a fee at short notice.​​ It is not possible to store luggage at the accommodation after the departure.

Cleaning

The accommodation will be cleaned regularly during the stay and at the end of the stay. 

Cot & high chair

A cot and high chair cannot be provided.

Extra beds

The townhouse can accommodate a maximum of 4 guests. Additional beds cannot be provided.

Heating

The air conditioning units in the accommodation can be used for heating in winter.

Internet (WLAN)

The accommodation has high-speed Internet (WLAN). 

Laundry

The townhouse has a washer-dryer. The use of these is free of charge.

Minimum length of stay

The minimum stay is usually 3 nights. Different rules may apply depending on the season and rate. You may arrive and depart on any day of the week.

Parking

The townhouse is located in a neighbourhood which has residents' parking permits. One permit will be provided for free on arrival.

Payment

At the time of booking, 25% of the rental amount must be paid by PayPal or bank transfer to a South African or German (SEPA) account. The balance of the rental must be paid no later than 8 weeks before arrival.​ If the period between booking and arrival is less than 8 weeks, the total price must be paid immediately. ​

Pets

Unfortunately, pets are not allowed. This will be checked on arrival.

Pool

The plunge pool in the accommodations can be used all year round. The pool is not heated. Pool towels are provided. 

Power outage (load-shedding)

South Africa can experience power outages (known as load-shedding). Thanks to its location the townhouse is not affected by load shedding so no restrictions are to be expected.

Security

The townhouse has an alarm system. Furthermore, the street in front of the townhouse is monitored day and night by a security service. De Waterkant is generally considered as a safe neighbourhood by Cape Townian standards.

Smoking

Smoking is not permitted. This also applies to cannibis consumption. 

Toilet paper, dishwasher tablets, soap, etc.

As is usual with holiday homes, the accommodations is self-catering. On arrival, you are provided with a basic supply of toilet paper, soap, dishwasher tablets, bin bags, coffee, tea, sugar, oil, vinegar, salt, and pepper. Any other or additional supplies are to be brought or purchased by yourself.

Travel insurance

To ensure that you are covered for any financial losses incurred in the event of cancellation, for example, due to illness, accident or unemployment, we recommend taking out travel insurance.
